Bertelsmann University is the cross-divisional education platform for the Group’s executive management. In close cooperation with selected external partners, the University offers targeted programs for strategic business development, sets new impulses and provides executives with an opportunity to extend their personal leadership resources. The University also serves as the cross-divisional learning network in a decentralized organisation to provide continuity and support change.

The structure of the Bertelsmann University Curriculum reflects the Group’s decentralized structure. International Programs address themes that are relevant across national and organisational boundaries. These programs are organized and conducted in English and are available to participants from different countries. Regional Programs, while sharing the same basic concept, emphasize regional circumstances and are conducted in the respective national language.

The high degree of involvement from the Group’s executive board is essential to the success of the Bertelsmann University.  Members of the board contribute personally to content development and also participate regularly in the programs. This provides other participants with an opportunity to engage in a face-to-face discussion.
