HR Circle

The HR Circle is a cross-divisional international forum for Bertelsmann's first rate HR talent. The program’s goal is to develop HR executives by imparting internal and external HR know-how and expertise in 5 different modules over a period of 2 years. The program will be complemented with individual self assessment and orientation for the participants as well as a cross-divisional mentor scheme involving the divisional Heads of HR.

Goals and Content
  • Provide state-of-the-art HR expertise and enable exchange of HR best-practice at Bertelsmann
  • Focus on strategic areas of HR: HR as Business Partner, Change Management, Talent Management, Value Based Management
  • Build a cross-divisional international network with Bertelsmann HR professionals
Methodology
  • 5 modules, hosted by divisional Heads of HR over the course of 2 years
  • Development program with individual feedback and reflection
  • Cross-divisional mentoring system with divisional Heads of HR
  • Interactive program format with a high degree of participation
Target Group
  • 20 participants selected by the HR Committee with excellent performance and a high level of HR competence
  • Good command of English language, at least 5 years HR experience, with significant responsibility (of people and / or function)
  • Vertical development potential to take over the role of head of a major HR function or head of personnel of a business unit

  • Module 1: June 27-29, 2011, Berlin
