Attractive Prizes For Nanodegree Graduates

Bertelsmann University wants to increase the incentive for participants in the “Udacity Tech Scholarship Program” to successfully complete their Tech & Data nanodegree. Anyone who has completed the nanodegree by September 30 can enter a competition – possibly with up to two “study buddies” – and win attractive prizes.

Early this year, more than 350 Bertelsmann employees from around the world made it to the final round of the “Udacity Tech Scholarship Program” and received a scholarship for a short, intensive, degree program in the field of Tech & Data. Their studies culminate in a nanodegree, a certificate that enjoys high international recognition, particularly in the IT industry. The degree program empowers participants to acquire important and highly sought-after skills in the areas of cloud, data and artificial intelligence – but this requires that they stick it out to the end. To increase the incentive to do so and to show appreciation for the time spent on learning these much-needed skills, Bertelsmann University is now giving away attractive prizes for all colleagues who complete their nanodegree by September 30 and perhaps even support their fellow students in the process.

Both Udacity, the online continuing education provider in which Bertelsmann holds a stake, and Bertelsmann’s divisions offer students many opportunities to connect with each other to make learning easier. With a little luck, teams consisting of two or three “Study Buddies” will soon be able to celebrate their graduation in a very special way. To do so, all they have to do is click on the link attached below by September 30 and fill out the form in which, among other things, they can name up to two fellow students. From the four prizes, they can pick the ones they are most interested in.

Prizes include events in Berlin, and a festival

The prizes in question are definitely first-rate:

  • Attend the “Bertelsmann University Digital Game Changers Program” on October 10, 2022 in Berlin. Together with your study buddies, you will travel to Berlin and take part in the last module of the program, which deals specifically with “(Hyper-)Personalization.” You will meet in-house and external experts on digital trends and attend a networking dinner. Hotel accommodation is of course included.
  • Participate in the “Tech & Data Summit” on November 8 and 9, 2022 in Berlin. You and your study buddies will travel to the most important annual meeting of Bertelsmann’s Group-wide Tech & Data community. Learn about new trends and practical examples from across the Group, expand your network, and launch your career as part of the Tech & Data Community. Hotel accommodation is included.
  • Attend the “Talent meets Bertelsmann” party on June 27, 2023 in Berlin. The winners will be party guests at the renowned employer branding and career networking event, at which a BMG star will also perform live. An overnight stay at a hotel is included.
  • Weekend pass for the “Rock am Ring” festival at the Nürburgring from June 2 to 4, 2023 with some of the biggest rock stars of our time.

Travel expenses will not be covered.

If people prefer to study on their own, that’s fine too, of course. In addition to the above prizes, all Bertelsmann’s nanodegree graduates will automatically be entered into a drawing for a record player/vinyl set from BMG, a Kindle e-book including book package from Penguin Random House, and a pair of Airpods Pro.

And these are the requirements for entering the competition:

  • All participants must be Bertelsmann employees. It doesn’t matter whether they complete the same Nanodegree program or work at the same company. Collaboration across company boundaries is most welcome.
  • All participants must complete their Nanodegree program on time, i.e., by September 30, 2022.
