Employee Survey: What Measures Did Your Team Take?

Preparations are still underway at all levels, but the start date is already firmly in sight: The sixth Bertelsmann international Employee Survey begins on June 3. As an important component of the corporate culture,

the survey offers employees from all participating Group companies around the world an opportunity to express what they are happy with – and where they still see room for improvement. There will be some innovations in this year's survey. But even in advance, all colleagues from participating companies can win attractive prizes in a prize drawing. We are interessted in why you take part in the Bertelsmann Employee Survey. We are particularly interested in videos or photos that show examples of what has changed in your environment since the previous survey in 2016.

The 2019 Employee Survey will be more digital than ever before. To make its implementation more flexible and its evaluation even more efficient, it will take place exclusively online in all divisions. The Employee Surveys will also be conducted every two years from now on. For this reason, the vast majority of employees this year will
receive an invitation to take part in the survey by email. Those who do not have a work email address will receive a printed invitation at the beginning of the survey containing details on how to access the online survey, and can participate in the Employee Survey on any standard computer, smartphone, or tablet.

Attractive prizes from Bertelsmann University program

The new questionnaire will be much shorter and cover the most important aspects of working life, focusing more than ever on issues from which specific, feasible measures can be derived. This is exactly where the central project team’s 2019 Employee Survey raffle comes in: What motivates you to give your feedback in the Bertelsmann Employee Survey? What measures were decided and implemented in your environment following the 2016 survey? The project team is calling on all Bertelsmann employees to send in photos or videos that show examples – not just as a model for this year's survey, but also as a sign that it really makes a difference when you participate and express your opinion. In addition, written testimonials can be submitted for the Employee Survey and measures. Please don’t forget to include a picture of yourself or your team.

“With every survey, we are impressed all over again by the measures that are put into action worldwide,” says Jennifer Meindel, the Employee Survey Project Manager. “That's why we want to know how teams around the world have taken a step forward since the 2016 survey. Inspire us and your colleagues with your story.” The most imaginative, and exemplary photo, video, or testimonial for other companies will be selected by the project team after the deadline. You can win attractive prizes including programs from our Bertelsmann University portfolio: a slot on the Introduction to Design Thinking program at the Hasso Plattner Institute, and a virtual language training package in a language of your choice at Learnship. In addition, an exclusive team coaching session will be raffled off. Pictures and excerpts from the submitted material will also be published on BENET and in the divisions’ respective internal media. So videos should not be longer than 30 seconds, and pictures and videos should be taken in landscape format. Please send the files to by April 19, 2019. The winners will be notified by email.
