  • The data scientist deals with the preparation, processing and exploratory analysis of data. The primary goal of individuals in this role is to develop data products, e.g. in the form of machine learning models and dashboards, for business stakeholders in order to support decision-making and process automation and optimization
  • To do this, the data scientist models relationships, searches for patterns and anomalies, and uses tools and statistical or machine learning methods. A person in this role visualises the findings and makes them available to others, e.g. a data steward or a business partner
  • Prerequisites: A distinct technical-mathematical background with very good previous knowledge in the areas of statistics & machine learning, software development (e.g. R or Python) and data management (storage/database) technology or querying expertise
